ISTQB in India is administered by Indian Testing Board (ITB). ITB is an approved national board and is responsible for ISTQB Certification exams in India. Indian Testing Board was founded in February 2004 and it was granted permission by ISTQB in April 2004. ITB has conducted exams since 2004 and till now there over 60,000 certified testers have taken the exam under Indian Testing Board.

In this case is my foundation level certification still valid and also my last name on the Foundation Level certificate was misspelled. Please advise on how to proceed with this.

1. First speak to the ITB officials and get the Foundation Level Certificate name corrected before attempting the take the Agile Tester exam from USA Board. If you give the proper details and reason, they should be able to correct it.
2. Yes, your Indian Testing Board foundation level certificate is valid worldwide and will be accepted by USA board as the prerequisite for the Agile Tester exam.

There are no formal requirements for this certification. Foundation level aims at all the individual who are involved in Software Testing & at those who are eager to acquire basic knowledge of fundamentals of Software Testing.

Usually from our experience, if you get Talent decrypt as proctor for Indian testing board exam, you are allowed to use blank paper and a pen. You will have to show it to the proctor before starting the exam. If you get another Proctor such as PearsonVue, we are not sure if that is allowed.

There is no difference. It is just that you are taking the exam from different exam conducting boards. Both the boards use the same syllabus, exam pattern and the certificates are equally valid. The successful candidates are listed in the central ISTQB official website irrespective of the boards you take the exam from.
It is like buying an iPhone from India or UK. You get the same phone. The price and look and feel of the payment receipt might be little different. So is the exam fee and the certificate you get might be little different. The certificate is valid worldwide.

Depends on the country/exam board you take the exam from the fee would differ. There are boards who are offering online exams. I am not sure if ITB allows advanced level exam from home yet. They do have online option for foundation level.
